THE MAIN EVENT
For four years, Kings & Queens of Ink has brought tattoo artists, collectors, and fans together in Jackson. In 2027, the Tattoo Expo returns as the centerpiece of Southern InkFest—now surrounded by live music, Southern food, the Royal Market, and an unforgettable festival atmosphere.
Explore a full weekend of live tattooing, fresh and healed tattoo competitions, art, apparel, and tattoo culture inside the climate-controlled Mississippi Trade Mart.
YOUR TATTOO EXPERIENCE
Whether you have an appointment or decide on a walk-in, Southern InkFest puts you face-to-face with artists working across a wide range of styles.

Ask the artist directly about availability, pricing, deposits, designs, and advance appointments.
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and follow the artist’s preparation instructions.

Artists control their own appointments, walk-in availability, pricing, deposits, and design approval. Southern InkFest does not schedule tattoos or collect tattoo deposits on an artist’s behalf.

Artists and collectors compete across fresh and healed tattoo categories throughout the weekend. Best of Day Color and Best of Day Black & Grey are awarded Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with one Best of Show crowned during Sunday’s finale.

A valid government-issued photo ID is required. All tattooing must follow applicable Mississippi laws and health requirements.
Eat beforehand, stay hydrated, wear suitable clothing, and follow any preparation instructions provided by your artist.
Appointment deposits, cancellations, pricing, design changes, and aftercare are handled directly by each artist.
